This is a piece for an exhibition called NSEW on cartographic, geographically-oriented and explorer-bound art. The show was curated by friend/artist Fleming Jeffries for her gallery Picaroon Projects in The Plains VA. We found a salvaged lighted sign cabinet and applied our message “TELL ME WHAT TO DO” with custom adhesive vinyl lettering. While most pedestrian signage identifies place, gives direction and discourages getting lost, this sign puts you at a loss and begins a dialogue/exploration.
