We worked with Doug Aitken and MOCA LA on the invitation to The Artist’s Museum Happening (the annual fundraiser at The Museum of Contemporary Art, LA). When packaged the invite takes on a form similar to a record you would receive via mailorder, giving it a familiar object quality as music/sound becomes a crucial element of Aitken’s happening. When unfolded, it transforms from the square to a more organic/holistic repeating structure suggesting the all inclusiveness of Aitken’s performance at the event, WE.
